No BAföG or too little BAföG? There are other ways to finance your studies in part or entirely. Under certain conditions students are entitled to state benefits.
These include housing benefit, child benefit, social assistance, exemption from radio fees and other financial benefits.
Scholarships from foundations as well as various forms of loans for students in short-term emergencies or in the final phase of their studies can help to secure the financial security of their studies. The KfW Student Loan can help to finance the cost of living during the first degree course.
The social counselling service of the Studierendenwerk advises students on all questions of financing their studies and on jobs and studying.
