The “Studierendenwerk” of Greifswald runs a total of four refectories and five cafeterias in Greifswald, Stralsund and Neubrandenburg. With moderate prices due to state subsidy, the “Studierendenwerk” contributes to the economic support of students.
Diversified, nutritionally balanced dishes are on the menu (Speiseplan). From Monday to Friday, we offer an extensive choice of meals for lunch and at least one vegetarian meal every day. In addition, there is a daily vegan meal choice in the Greifswald’s refectories.
The separate dishes can be put together according your taste. Crunchy fresh delicacies are waiting for you at the salad buffet. A dessert selection, snacks, hot and cold drinks complete our assortment.
The “Studierendenwerk” of Greifswald promotes a healthy diet while studying and working by its food selection in the refectories. Against this background we offer the menu line mensaVital in our refectories.
In the cafeteria you can find delicious breakfast or snacks before and after lunch. From Monday to Friday, and in case of the Cafeteria “ins grüne” at the university hospital also during weekends and public holidays, students and guests can choose between four breakfast combinations. Starting with Breakfast 1 (with two buns), followed by Breakfast 2 and 3 until Breakfast 4 (with bio cereal and fruit salad) we offer breakfast for every budget and taste. The best part: a cup of coffee or tea is always included in the price! In our cafeterias we only use fair trade organic coffee and fair trade organic drinking chocolate. Alternatively, each breakfast can be supplemented with rustic or vegetarian scrambled eggs as well as organic cereals.
In the refectories and cafeterias neither shell eggs nor egg products (liquid eggs) from cage farms (small groups cages) are used.
In all the refectories and cafeterias, you can pay cashless with the Servicekarte (Service Card). At the Universities of applied sciences in Stralsund and Neubrandenburg as wells as at the University of Greifswald the Mensa account is implemented in the chip of students and employee identification badge as well as in some guest passes, which means that no additional service card is required.
